Our Public Land Black Bear Hunts are conducted under authorized permits within the National Forest system, offering an authentic backcountry experience centered on fair chase, stewardship, and respect for the landscape. These are 4-day, spot-and-stalk style hunts that take place from remote spike camps deep in bear country. Hunters should expect rugged terrain, changing weather, and the physical demands of traveling through the backcountry with a pack. While elite fitness is not required, the ability to hike comfortably with weight and move efficiently through steep terrain can significantly improve opportunities for success. Our highest priorities are ethical hunting practices, responsible harvest, and leaving the land better than we found it. These hunts are designed for those seeking a true wilderness experience where challenge, adventure, and respect for the resource come first. As with all fair-chase hunting on public land, harvest opportunities are never guaranteed.

Our Private Land Management Hunts offer an opportunity to pursue black bear on carefully managed private properties where habitat quality, wildlife stewardship, and responsible harvest practices are the foundation of the experience. These hunts are built around spot-and-stalk methods and are conducted with a strong emphasis on fair chase, ethical decision-making, and respect for both the animal and the land.

Access to these properties is intentionally limited, allowing for low hunting pressure and a more intentional approach to wildlife management. Booking availability is restricted each season and depends heavily on bear activity, movement patterns, and overall conditions to ensure hunts are conducted responsibly and at the right time.
